What do the Roman Colosseum and the F1 circuit in Austin, Texas have in common?
Nearly 2,000 years apart — and yet the same fundamental engineering logic runs through both.
This is what makes architecture genuinely humbling: you stand in front of a structure built millennia ago and feel the genius of the people who designed it.
Human curiosity hasn't changed. Talent hasn't changed. The laws of physics certainly haven't changed.
What has changed? The materials. The precision. The scale.
The Colosseum was built without us — but our ancestors left us their knowledge. We carried it forward when we had the privilege of contributing to the design and construction of the Formula 1 Austin Grand Prix grandstand.
Which modern building do you think carries the strongest echo of the past? Drop it in the comments!
