"Budapest kötelező látnivalójaként" ír a Walk My Worldről a világ egyik legismertebb lapja, a The Guardian, amely hosszú cikkben mutatja be immerzív produkciónkat, Vági Bence rendező művészi vizióját és a Recirquel társulat nemzetközi sikereit.

One of the world’s most renowned newspapers, The Guardian hails Walk My World as “a Budapest must-see” in a feature-length article presenting our immersive production, the artistic vision of director Bence Vági, and the international achievements of the Recirquel Company.

According to the paper, “the complexity of what Vági and his company have produced is mind-bending,” pointing out that while audiences are free to roam within the 6,000-square-metre performance space, the 26 performers must follow strictly defined routes throughout the more than two-hour production.

“Astonishing physical skills combined with the beauty and emotive impact of dance and the immediacy of creating the drama around the spectators” — the author suggests that this captures the essence of Bence Vági’s innovative directorial approach.

The Guardian places our artistic director in a distinguished international context, noting that “Vági’s influences range far beyond circus and cabaret, drawing on the grand theatrical visions of Robert Lepage and Robert Wilson, and the unorthodox and imaginative choreography and storytelling of Bob Fosse and Crystal Pite.”

Flinging circus into the 21st century: how the immersive Walk My World became a Budapest must-see Hungarian director Bence Vági’s latest work showcases a modern style of acrobatics where performers soar above as the audience wanders from room to room

„A Paradisum különböző embereket mutat be, akik azon küzdenek, hogy ragaszkodjanak-e a félelmeikhez, vagy megengedjék maguknak, hogy újra kapcsolódjanak a természethez, és a mai, megszokott életformánknál egyszerűbb létezési módot válasszanak. Mindegyik karakternek van egy különleges pillanata, amikor szembe kell néznie a félelmeivel. Ugyanakkor minden előadásunk olyan ősi félelmekhez kapcsolódik, amelyek évezredek óta jelen vannak az emberi gondolkodásban – ilyen például egy kígyó alakja vagy egy sötét barlang. Ezek a szimbólumok a jelenben is létező félelmeinket tükrözik.”

Vági Bence a TO Live-nak, Toronto vezető előadó-művészeti intézményének adott interjújában beszélt többek között a tánc és a cirkusz ötvözéséről, az artisták különleges képzéséről, valamint a Paradisum mélyebb rétegeiről is.

“Paradisum shows different people struggling to decide whether they should stick with their fears or allow themselves to reconnect with nature and choose a simpler way of existence than the way we mostly live today. So each of these characters has a special moment where they’re facing fears. But all our shows connect to primary fears that have been in the human mind for thousands of years, like the shape of a snake or the darkness of a cave. These symbols reflect fears we have in the present.”

In his interview with TO Live, Toronto’s leading performing arts organization, Bence Vági spoke about, among other things, the fusion of dance and circus, the unique training of performers, and the deeper layers of Paradisum.
