Krisztina Hoppál published "Roman engraved gems from Southeast Asia" in Dissertationes Archaeologicae https://www.academia.edu/73819635/Roman_engraved_gems_from_Southeast_Asia . The paper examines the categories and distribution of Roman engraved gems discovered in Southeast Asia. Although the paper examines unprovenienced examples, it does shine a light on an artifact class that, once defined on the basis of excavated examples, may help work out Southeast Asia's relationships to the west during the late prehistoric period.
