On July 4, our partner Lambda Diagnósticos showcased the Norma Icon-5 at the IRMIE Scientific Conference 2026 in the Dominican Republic. Organized by the Regional Institute of Maternal and Child Health and Medical Specialties (IRMIE), the event brought together healthcare professionals to exchange knowledge and explore the latest developments in clinical diagnostics.

A big thank you to the Lambda Diagnósticos team for showcasing our 5-diff. hematology analyzer and for their continued partnership in expanding access to reliable hematology diagnostics.

🏃‍♂️ What a weekend for the Norma Running Team! 🏃‍♀️

Last weekend, we took on Ultra Tisza-tó (UTT) 2026, completing an incredible 130 km relay around Lake Tisza, running the full loop there and back.

Despite the 30°C heat, our team delivered an amazing performance:
🏅 130 km in 12 hours 39 minutes
🏅 5:50 min/km average pace
🏅 46th out of 105 teams in the 8–10 runner category
🏅 Part of an event featuring 312 teams and around 2,500 participants

Most importantly, it was a day filled with teamwork, determination, and plenty of encouragement along the course. We're incredibly proud of everyone who represented Norma!

🐾 Meet our newest Customer Service Intern!

Tobias, the 4-month-old Cockapoo stopped by the office today.

Known for their friendly personality and eagerness to connect with people, Cockapoos seem to be natural customer service professionals. After a quick review of our Veterinary webpage, our intern approved it with a wagging tail. 🐶

We're still working on email management, but we'd say the first week has been a success.

🇬🇧EN: Reliable hematology testing plays an important role in pediatric emergency care.

Recently, our team visited Bethesda Children’s Hospital (Bethesda Gyermekkórház) in Budapest, Hungary, to see how the Norma Icon-5 OP open vial sampling hematology analyzer supports the daily work of healthcare professionals in the Pediatric Emergency Department.

The analyzer has been helping the hospital provide timely hematology results for approximately three years, supporting clinical decision-making when rapid access to blood count data is needed. Today, it continues to provide hematology testing support outside the central laboratory’s operating hours, with 24-hour availability on three days each week.

We would like to thank the team at Bethesda Children’s Hospital for their warm welcome and for sharing their experience with the everyday clinical use of the Icon-5 OP.

🇭🇺HU: A megbízható hematológiai vizsgálatok kiemelten fontosak a gyermek sürgősségi ellátásban.

Nemrég csapatunk ellátogatott a Bethesda Gyermekkórházba, ahol lehetőségünk volt megismerni, hogyan támogatja a Norma Icon-5 OP hematológiai automata a betegellátást a Gyermeksürgősségi Osztályon. A Bethesda Gyermekkórház Magyarország egyik vezető gyermek-egészségügyi intézménye, amely csecsemők, gyermekek és serdülők számára nyújt magas szintű szakellátást.

A valamivel több mint egy éve megnyílt, brit sürgősségi ellátási modellek alapján kialakított modern Gyermeksürgősségi Osztály az 1–2 hónapos csecsemőktől egészen a 18 éves fiatalokig fogadja a betegeket. A kórház körülbelül három évvel ezelőtt szerezte be az Icon-5 OP készüléket. Az analizátor kezdetben a sürgősségi ambulancián működött, majd az ambulancia Gyermeksürgősségi Osztállyá történő átalakulását követően is ott maradt, támogatva az osztály mindennapi munkáját.

Jelenleg a központi laboratórium nyitvatartási idején kívül nyújt hematológiai támogatást, heti három napon, 24 órás rendelkezésre állással. A betegforgalomtól függően az osztály naponta jellemzően 5–12 teljes vérképet végez vénás vérmintákból. A helyben elérhető hematológiai eredmények lehetővé teszik, hogy az egészségügyi szakemberek gyorsan hozzájussanak a kritikus információkhoz, amikor sürgős klinikai döntések meghozatalára van szükség.

A készülék működéséért a Labordiagnosztikai Osztály osztályvezető főorvosa, a Gyermeksürgősségi Osztály osztályvezető főorvosa és a POCT-koordinátor közösen felelnek, biztosítva a rendszer megfelelő működését és szakmai felügyeletét.
