SMASH Homebrew Competition

Today our dear SMASH photographer sent us the photos 📸 and they’re awesome! Over the next few days we’ll be spamming you a bit with them 🙂 After that, we’re heading into a short break.

The first post will be a thank you to the judges, because without them none of this would have been possible. They generously gave their time, came to SMASH, and professionally judged the competition as they do every year.

It’s especially impressive that we have judges coming from as far as Istria and Zagreb, as well as our newly certified local BJCP judges. A special thank you goes to , who even travels from Prague just to be part of SMASH.

We also want to give a big thank you to our great friend of SMASH, who has been with us since the very beginning and has joined us every single year.

Huge cheers to our top brewers this year:

Each of them nailed the LSX5: New Zealand Pilsner category with standout balance and character.

Split Beer Fest lineup se širi, i to s dva ozbiljna igrača craft scene!

Uz 19 pivovara iz Hrvatske i regije, pridružuju nam se još iz Buzeta i iz Brežica (SLO).

🍺 Bruman (Buzet)
Istarska mikro pivovara osnovana 2018., iza koje stoje Darko, Goran i Dragan, ekipa koja je krenula iz garaže, a danas kuha oko 17.000 litara godišnje. Njihovo ime znači radišan, marljiv čovjek, što im savršeno paše jer su poznati po čistim, preciznim i zahmeljenim stilovima.

🍺 Reset Brewery (Brežice, Slovenija)
Mladi, ali izuzetno ozbiljni, osnovani 2020., vođeni od strane pivara s titulom Certified Cicerone. Njihova filozofija je pitkost i kvaliteta, uz korištenje slovenskih hmeljeva za elegantne stilove i modernih hop proizvoda za eksplozivno hmeljne pive. Imaju vlastiti taproom, kuhinju i reputaciju jedne od najboljih craft destinacija u Sloveniji.

S njima lineup postaje još ozbiljniji, a najave stilova svih pivovara koje čete moći probati stižu uskoro.
