REMASKED - THE COLLECTION

What do you do when you have excess stock of a product that’s no longer useful to your customers? That’s the question I faced earlier this year when it became obvious that the mask mandate was finally going to be lifted in Hong Kong. I really don’t like the idea of things going to waste, and the possibility that the fabric and elastic from my remaining stock would end up on the compost heap, or worse yet, in landfill was awful.
But luckily, I've had plenty of time to think about what I could do with all of the gorgeously soft organic cotton fabric and eco-elastic. A lot of experimentation (and quite a few failures later), the first items in my Remasked Collection are now available in at paperrosesdesigns.com/gifts-and-goodies?category=Remasked+collection

Designed to use as much of the fabric as possible, and where I can, the eco-elastic from the ear loops too, I'm continuing to work on new ideas...so please let me know if you have any good ones for me to experiment with!

Have you discovered anything new this year? My new favourite place to visit is Arts & Crafts Studio in PMQ.
It’s an absolutely wonderful shop…full of exquisitely artistic finds from Japan and beyond. And I’d like to say a huge thank you to Junko san, the curator of all the wonderful things you’ll find there, for inviting Paper-Roses to pop-up in her beautiful store.
A selection of Paper-Roses’ gifts and goodies will be on display amongst her gorgeous collection (it really is one of my favourite shops to browse) throughout July and into August. Open daily from 11.30 until 6.30, there’s plenty of time for perusing at your leisure.
I’ll also be popping in a couple of times throughout July for a “meet the artist” session - so if there’s anything you’d like to ask about the way I work, my products and approaches, do pop in for a chat. Find me there on Saturday 15 July from 2.30 until 4.30.

Are you ready for Christmas? Two more chances to get in the festive spirit and do a little shopping this weekend. Join at the in on Saturday, or head over to the Christmas market in on Sunday. This will be my last weekend out and about this year before I take a short break (when I’ll hopefully find the time to do my own Christmas shopping!)

It’s another busy day for Paper-Roses tomorrow. I’m going to two different fairs! I haven’t yet worked out how to split myself in two, so if you head down to in Kennedy Town, please say hello to the lovely .iona who’ll be putting some newly learnt skills to the test - it’ll be her first time out on her own 😁. And I’ll be at City Kids for the morning - would love to see you!
