-
Channelling the antic spirit of Surrealism with a series of paintings depicting “Fish Man” and “Fish Woman” against landscapes of the metropolis, locally born and trained Lam’s work borrows from the physical world and inevitably mirrors the everyday life and thoughts of Hong Kong people.
-
Lam studied at the Academy of Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University. The artist has presented several solo exhibitions in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Her works have also been involved in group exhibitions with Tai Kwun Contemporary, Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre, and WWF For Nature Hong Kong. Dreaming about a mid-summer garden with vibrant colors, fragrant flowers, and mesmerizing landscapes? 🌹 🖼️ 🎏

Currently on view at Udatsu Sushi Hong Kong this summer is the solo exhibition of late Japanese artist Zenzaburo Kojima, titled Midsummer Daydream. The magnificent collection features 15 pieces of paintings, drawings and sketches created by the artist from early 1940s to his final days, co-selected by his grandson, Mr. Toshio Kojima and WANGSIM. The works on view mark the inaugural solo presentation of the artist in Hong Kong.
-
Born in Fukuoka, Japan, Zenzaburo Kojima (1893-1962) is a highly influential figure in the Japanese modern art sphere. Radiating a true sense of restfulness, the landscape and still-life artworks created by Kojima demonstrate the very quality of Eastern art, which are highly expressive and incorporeal. Meanwhile, work on display have a strong abstraction indication, and spotlight the artist’s understanding of decorativeness and spatiality, which can be traced back to the Western classic oils.

WANGSIM is pleased to present the solo exhibition of Hong Kong based artist Chow Ciao Chow, Pink Melting in Blue, Blue Melting in Yellow, Yellow Melting in Red, marking his second collaboration with WANGSIM.
-
The presentation places a collection of 15 most recent works by chow on view from March 28 to May 9, 2025.
-
The self-taught, expressive if not lyrical painter has always fixated on how melding of the colors can convey emotionality. With a bright, saturated color palette, the most notable feature of Chow’s body of work is the use of acrylic mixed with water to create dynamic, associative effects of color—Chow’s attempt to search for the overlap of mood and armosphere.
-
Some recent work made by the artist during his recent trips to Berlin, never shown in public, will be on view in the exhibition.
-
An open studio event is organized on March 27 (Thursday), from 6:30pm to 9pm at in celebration of the exhibition opening.

What a night at the M+ Museum! We wanted to say a big "thank you" to whom joined us at the BE Luxurious event. The program is part of the 2024 Belgian Days program organised by Consulate General of Belgium to Hong Kong and Macau.

The event features important contemporary masterpieces in various mediums, which demonstrate artistic practices, painterly techniques, and radical ideas behind some of the most renowned post war art movements across the globe. The presentation spotlights Wangsim’s contemporary art roster and echoes its long-term mission—expanding the frame of the local art world and supporting the cultural exchange between East and West.
