Living the high life - humanising high-density

Construction has kicked off at our Westlake Square Hanoi project in . Last week, our team - José Cláudio Silva and Kelly Tran - attended the groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate this exciting milestone.

As part of an ambitious 180-hectare master plan for 's Starlake Central Business District, Toshin Development Vietnam Limited’s Westlake Square Hanoi reimagines this high-rise mixed-use development as a balanced blend of nature, people, and architecture.

Led by Senior Design Principal, Leonard Milford, and Design Principal, José Cláudio Silva, the project will introduce Hanoi's first Takashimaya Department Store. By deviating from traditional layouts, the design incorporates a series of spaces that extend upwards, creating a rich diversity of activity to encourage sustainable urban living. The integration of smaller-scale volumes at the podium creates a vertical network of gardens, green terraces, and open spaces for users. This approach humanises high-density living and offers an inviting environment for all.

Driven by a commitment to sustainable development, Westlake Square Hanoi adheres to the highest green building standards, targeting to achieve LEED Platinum certification upon completion.
