Thank you for the coverage as Dave’s West Indian 1st Division cricket continues in Georgetown

On Friday, 1st of march, 2025 Georgetown Cricket Association hosted a Fielding Seminar, conducted by West Indies Fielding Coach Rayon Griffith. This session was catered to Captains, Coaches and Players within Georgetown and held at the Demerara Cricket Club.

Chairman of Cricket Development of the GCA, Mr Mark Harper, Introduced Mr Griffith who underscored the importance of fielding.

Fielding can be broken down into catching, infield and outfield throwing techniques, skill, power generation, attacking techniques, throwing at the stumps and to the wicket keeper and fitness drills.

At the end of the session Coach Griffith was presented with a certificate of appreciation. Follow up sessions are in the pipelines and would be conducted in the very near future.

The GCA would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone who came out to the seminar and to those who worked tirelessly to make it a success!
