𝑷𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑶𝒖𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒕 𝑲𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒂 𝑽𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒈𝒆, 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏 8

Police in Regional Division #8 conducted a community outreach and walkabout in and around Kamana Village, North Pakaraimas, Region #8, on Friday, June 13, 2026.

The outreach was held between 13:30hrs and 15:30hrs and formed part of the Guyana Police Force’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community engagement and enhance public trust.

During the exercise, Lance Corporal 25130 Munroe interacted with residents and listened to their concerns and challenges. The outreach also focused on identifying emerging security issues and strengthening communication between law enforcement and the community.

Several important topics were discussed, including the selling of alcohol to underage persons, drug use, domestic violence, family violence, and proactive crime prevention through public education and information sharing.

Residents welcomed the initiative and pledged to continue working along with the Police to help keep the community safe.

The exercise forms part of the Force’s continued commitment to building stronger partnerships with communities across the region.
