He added that while many may be making a great product or providing an excellent service, the physical environment within which they are operating also needs to be upgraded to be more aesthetically pleasing and of a higher standard.

She noted that addressing skills shortages requires a deliberate investment in people, supported by strong workplace cultures and continuous professional development.
