Plaisance Secondary School student stabbed in the face by colleague

"This is my sister who attends Plaisance secondary school. She was injured by a guy... who attends the same school...my sister did not deserve to get that. He bore my sister with a scissors for what particular reason I don't know. This is totally not acceptable because he already knows that he is not supposed to lay a finger on a female but I guess he's too ignorant and dunce to know this..now my sister has to sleep in pain all because of this jackass..but remember what goes around comes back around. God don't sleep time you take to pick a fight with a girl study how you're going make your parents proud... this is not going down like that".

While at the New Amsterdam Hospital, located in Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne), the Minister of Health, Honourable Dr Frank Anthony, conducted a walk-thru of the Neonatal Department, to ensure that the services being offered are up to the standards set by the MoH.

Among those present were Regional Health Officer, Dr. Vishalya Sharma; Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the New Amsterdam Public Hospital, Dr. Bob A. D. Ramnauth; Matron of New Amsterdam Hospital, Lelewattie Sawh, among other officials.
