AgapiVet would like to wish our Dimitri a safe trip to the United States! For the next 6 weeks Dimitri will be learning from some of the world's best veterinary dermatologists, cardiologists, and surgeons at the University of Illinois! Prior to his return, Dimitri will meet Dr. Agapis to attend the WVC Veterinary Conference in Nashville and a Nexus Orthopedic workshop in Utah! What a great way to conclude his studies and transition to the next stage of his professional journey! Kalo Taxidi!

The past two weeks have been very busy at AgapiVet! We spent a little time at the municipal shelter offering free physical examinations and treatments to the stray dogs and sterilized over 200 dogs and cats at the clinic. All this was made possible by the students of the University of Illinois that worked day and night to help provide the best care possible for these animals in need. An extra big thank you to the University of Illinois, especially Dr. Drew Sullivan and Dr. Clarissa Souza who made this trip a success. Additionally, we'd like to thank the Rhodes Municipality, Hellenic Studies Paideia, the Pan-Rhodian Association, Kostas Arfaras, Dimitrios Galanos, Sofia Pitropaki, Julietta and all the volunteers. This program is truly unique as we not only help the community, promote our beautiful island, but also train the next generation of veterinary professionals so they too can one day go out and do community outreach! It's not about what one doctor can do, but what a team of highly trained individuals can do for the animals under our care. AgapiVet prides itself on the continued training of all team members at various conferences and workshops throughout the United States and Europe. As the team's skills and knowledge grow, we shall be expanding our clinic's hours and services. Stay tuned!
