A few weeks ago, as part of our ongoing commitment to the next generation of maritime professionals, we took part in "Ερχόμαστε προς τη Θάλασσα," the educational program by https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0wGHbX0 (a Naftika Chronika initiative), dedicated to connecting the maritime community with young people.

Our General Manager, Carola Yannouli, joined the discussion "The Technologies of the Future for Shipping," held under the auspices of MARTECMA and CIMAC Hellas. Alongside fellow speakers, she explored the technological and digital transformation of the modern merchant fleet—from new and alternative fuels and burner technology to energy efficiency, environmental protection, and the regulatory and safety challenges these innovations bring.

Addressing young people from Athenian universities such as the University of West Attica (ΠΑΔΑ), the session became an open dialogue with future professionals—reflecting exactly the kind of knowledge-sharing we believe in. Beyond the technology and the business, Posidonia is most importantly about people—and the moments we connected with others were really the highlight of this week.

From members of the Oceanking team and our valued partners to the many visitors who stopped by, our stand was full of energy and meaningful exchanges. One of the highlights was the talk by bound4blue and NAPA on wind-assisted propulsion and voyage optimization, which sparked great conversations.

We were also especially glad to welcome the next generation of maritime professionals on the final day. Students from AEN Oinousses visited to discuss the industry and experience our partner ARI Simulation training simulator up close. We also had the pleasure of meeting young people from the Young Executives Shipping (YES) Forum, a platform dedicated to bringing new graduates into the maritime sector. Our Sales Director, Apostolos Bekiaris, spoke with both groups about the industry and its future.

The curtain has fallen on Posidonia 2026, and we couldn't be happier and prouder of the week we've had. There's something truly special about seeing face-to-face the people we speak every day—meeting them up close, sharing real conversations, and of course bringing all our partners together under one roof and connecting them with our clients.

This week was everything we hoped for and more. We strengthened relationships that already meant a lot to us and we sealed new partnerships we're excited to build on. And throughout it all, we were honoured by the trust so many placed in us—not just in words, but in action.

The level of conversations, the volume of visitors, the energy at our stand—it all made for an incredibly fruitful week. Posidonia 2026 has left a deep mark on us, and we're already looking forward to everything that comes next.
