Are you planning a trip to the beautiful island of Corfu in Greece? Here are a few things you should know before you go.
One of the most popular questions about Corfu's beaches is whether they are paid or free. All of the beaches in Corfu are municipally owned and are completely free to access. You may be asked to pay for a sun lounger or umbrella, but you are not required to pay to use the beach itself. Even if you find yourself on a seemingly private beach belonging to a hotel or villa, you are still allowed to be there.
In terms of activities, Corfu has a wide range to offer. The island is known for its stunning beaches and crystal clear waters, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. There are also several hiking trails through the island's countryside, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. If you prefer a more relaxed vacation, there are plenty of charming villages and towns to explore, each with their own unique culture and history.
When it comes to dining, Corfu is known for its delicious seafood and local wine. Be sure to try some of the fresh fish caught by local fishermen, and don't forget to pair it with a glass of the island's famous Robola wine.
Overall, Corfu is a wonderful destination for a beach vacation with a mix of relaxation and adventure.

Things to Know Before Visiting the island of Corfu Part 1
For a comfortable stay on the island, you will need your own transportation, whether it be a car or motorcycle. Public transportation is available, but its routes and timing are poorly planned. During the summer season, buses are overcrowded due to the large number of tourists. Due to the heavy traffic on the roads, buses are often delayed (deviating from schedules). The cost of car rental will range from 30 to 70 euros per day, with the lowest price depending on the season (low, middle, high, very high).
Plan ahead and consider renting a car or motorcycle to make the most of your trip to Corfu!" All the turist services can be found here www.aroundcorfu.com.
