Snowing in Athens, Greece on Feb 16th 2021, for one whole day and night we were blessed with this special gift in the city centre! Though it snows in much of Greece in the wintertime in the higher altitudes generally, it was the first proper snow in this city for about 13 years!! Of course now it’s back to 14degree sunny days and it’s melted.

Snowing in Athens, Greece on Feb 16th 2021, for one whole day and night we were blessed with this special gift in the city centre! Though it snows in much of Greece in the wintertime in the higher altitudes generally, it was the first proper snow in this city for about 13 years!! This is what I woke up to, going out on my balcony!

I know it has been a long time since I have posted my photos, promoting my Athens and Greece tours and my other professional services and personal joys, adventures and antics... since being forced to be unemployed since March last year, without support nor prospects and being for most of these months in hard lockdowns like so many other people, I have been too disillusioned and unmotivated to post the hundreds of beautiful photos I’ve taken from around Greece in my brief road-trips over last summer and when we still had some element of freedom and basic human rights.

So I will begin again now, inspired by the beautiful snow that has gifted itself to us today in central Athens, as much of the rest of Greece has been covered in snow since last week. So I hope this serves as a little inspiration and beauty in these bizarre times. Please reach out and connect, my friends!
