Hello ECHO HUB community! In a few weeks we are going to start the registration process for our 6th Basic Care and Support Training session that will start in this Fall (September).

Participants in this training learn the basic skills needed to assist and care for people with impaired health either in their own home or in a care home. The curriculum is based on a well-established certified 140-hours (3.5 month) training package developed by the German Malteser International (MHD) which includes 100 hours of theoretical (+8 hours first aid training) and 40 hours of practical training in a Care unit in Athens.

Our most recent graduates completed their practical training this January and February in a care clinic in Athens and were able to apply the knowledge they acquired during their 100 hours of theoretical training in real time alongside nurses and carers already working in the care sector.

Are you interested in joining the next session and meet the below criteria?
Requirement for the application:
- 18 yrs +
- Advanced knowledge of English (B1 level required)
- Basic Greek level (A1 level required)
- Valid residence and work permit in Greece
- Be able to commit to the entire 140-hour training period (3.5 months)
- Interest in working as a caregiver after the training!
