Théo Robine-Langlois, artist-in-residence, developed this new image in response to the work Poster Dress (1967) by graphic artist Harry Gordon from ATOPOS cvc collection, in preparation for his upcoming exhibition opening on May 19. Save the date — more information coming soon!
Poster Dress is part of a series of mod-pop advertisement paper dresses, reflecting the experimental spirit of the late 1960s, when fashion, graphic design and popular culture merged into wearable images. The dress was accompanied by the statement: “Should you tire of it, just cut open all the seams and hang it on your wall as a mammoth poster.”
Robine-Langlois, supported by , reflects on the archive as a living, active space where objects can be reinterpreted beyond their original function, connecting fashion and visual poetry.
