Tesla has launched its first all-electric “Giga Train” in Germany, transporting 500 passengers from Erkner Station to Tesla’s Berlin Gigafactory.

The train, which seats 120 and includes space for bicycles, is free for employees and the public. Tesla aims to transport 4,500 factory employees across three shifts.

The electric train, part of Tesla’s mission to accelerate renewable energy adoption, will save 50 tons of carbon dioxide annually. Tesla also plans to expand its green transportation projects globally.
