Από τη Βαυαρία ως την Αντίς Αμπέμπα, από τις σχολικές τάξεις μέχρι τις αίθουσες συναυλιών, το Goethe Institut κάνει από το 1951 την εκμάθηση γερμανικών και την πολιτιστική ανταλλαγή μια συναρπαστική εμπειρία και σε όλο τον κόσμο!

Όλα ξεκίνησαν δειλά δειλά στο Μόναχο. Σήμερα το Goethe Institut δραστηριοποιείται με ένα δυναμικό 4.000 περίπου ανθρώπων σε περισσότερες από 90 χώρες. Στο χρονολόγιό μας μπορείτε να δείτε πώς μια ιδέα εξελίχθηκε σε ένα πολιτιστικό ίδρυμα με παγκόσμια ακτινοβολία και δράση. Κάνε swipe στις διαφάνειες και ανακάλυψε τα ορόσημα των πρώτων χρόνων.

Greek-Turkish musical encounters are a breath of fresh air – all the more so when they take place in Munich, the so-called ‘world capital of Greek-Turkish friendship’. Murat Küçükarslan from İzmir and Alexandra Karamoutsiou meet up with Themis Papaminas from Thessaloniki to explore their shared love of music.

Meet the musicians:

Alexandra Karamoutsiou is a musician and researcher. She is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Music Studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an active musician (vocalist), with a focus on Greek rebetiko since 2007.

Murat Küçükarslan is a multi-instrumentalist musician based in İzmir, with a Master’s degree in Ethnomusicology. He is the co-founder of Agora Minor Rebetiko Band and Salut de Smyrne Mediterranean Music Band, with particular interests in Mediterranean, Rebetiko, Anatolian, and world music traditions.

Themis Papaminas is a musician and educator from Thessaloniki. Since 2004, he has been experimenting as a multi-instrumentalist with a broad range of musical idioms. He is an active member of the Rebetiko music scene, in Greece and abroad.
