Iasonas Apostolopoulos, a rescuer onboard SAR vessels in the Med was supposed to be honored by 's president Katerina Sakellaropoulou for his humanitarian work as the country celebrates 47 years since the restoration of democracy.
A few hours before the ceremony and after governmental interference he was informed that his award was refused by the president. The presidency hasn't commented on the incident so far.

Greek startup Code4thought builds technology that tests AI systems for the existence of bias and explains the reasons as to why they came up with a given result. In other words, they strive to give us, the people an instrument with which we can evaluate whether an AI system can be trusted or not.
