Thirty days ago, after our first Let’s Vibe AI Civic Hackathon, we had an idea.

What if we created a platform where talented young people could showcase what they could build, connect with mentors, access opportunities, and become part of something bigger than themselves?

When we launched the AI Builder Network, we started with just 10 builders.

We set an ambitious goal: reach 100 builders by the end of May.

Today, we have officially surpassed 100+ builders.

But this isn’t really about the number.

It’s about what that number represents.

It represents 100+ young people who chose to build instead of wait.

100+ people investing in themselves, learning new skills, creating projects, solving problems, and preparing for a future that will be increasingly shaped by AI.

For years, many young Africans have been starved of opportunity. In places like The Gambia, a lack of opportunities has fueled frustration, hopelessness, and migration. Too many talented young people have felt they needed to leave home to build a future.

We want to help change that.

The Gambia has one of the youngest populations in Africa. More than 60% of our population is made up of young people hungry to learn, create, and contribute. The talent is here. The ambition is here. The potential is here.

What has often been missing is access.

Access to mentors.

Access to opportunities.

Access to networks.

Access to people who believe in them.

That is what we are building.

Our next milestone is 1,000 builders by the end of the year.

And we’re going to get there.

But we cannot do it alone.

👉 If you’re a builder, join us.

👉 If you’re an employer, startup, company, NGO, or institution, become a partner and help create opportunities through internships, projects, mentorship, and employment.

👉 If you’re part of the African Diaspora or an experienced professional anywhere in the world, we need mentors. Your experience could change the trajectory of someone’s life.

Over the last 8 years, we have invested more than $2 million of our own resources building ecosystems, programs, relationships, and opportunities across Africa. From The Gambia to Senegal, Nigeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Kenya, Mauritius, and South Africa, we’ve spent years learning, listening, and building.

We made those investments so many others wouldn’t have to start from zero.

This is not about building another platform.

This is about building Africa’s AI Talent Capital.

And we’re building it right here in The Gambia.

The future belongs to builders.

Let’s build it together. Join Us at https://vibe.disruptivelab.gm
