UK: Government Announces Temporary Visas for HGV Drivers and Poultry Workers

In response to the ongoing crisis of a shortage of haulage drivers to move fuel and other supplies across the UK, the government has announced that Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) drivers and poultry workers will be eligible for temporary visas. The temporary measures will allow for 5000 visas for HGV drivers and 5500 for poultry workers, available from October 2021 and valid until 24 December 2021.
