Day 3:

Today marked another significant step forward in our international investment engagement mission aimed at positioning the Gomoa Special Economic Zone as one of Africa’s leading industrial and commercial destinations.

This morning, we visited Guangdong Nanyue Institution, where we delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Gomoa Special Economic Zone. During the engagement, we emphasized the geographical advantages of the industrial park, as well as the financing and implementation roadmap for this ambitious transformational project.

The discussions focused on strategic partnerships capable of supporting large-scale infrastructure development, industrial expansion, and long-term economic growth within the zone.

Later in the afternoon, we visited Tree Ligo Company in Guangzhou. The company operates across four major sectors: photovoltaic energy storage, mining machinery and equipment, logistics, and auto parts trade.

Our discussions focused primarily on the development of the automobile and auto parts market within the Gomoa Special Economic Zone. We also discussed the establishment of modern service and technical training centers that will equip Ghanaian youth with the skills and expertise required to service and maintain Chinese vehicle brands and other modern electric vehicles (EVs).

As part of the engagement, I was also taken on an extensive tour of major spare parts markets and automobile trading centers in Guangzhou to gain first-hand insight into the structure, operations, supply chains, and commercial ecosystem of China’s automotive spare parts industry. The experience provided valuable lessons and practical knowledge that can help shape the vision for a modern automobile and spare parts hub within the Gomoa Special Economic Zone.

We also used the opportunity to formally invite major global automotive dealers and industrial brands, including BYD, Tesla, MG, as well as several dealers in mining and construction equipment, to participate in the Gomoa Industrial Fair scheduled to take place from 27th to 29th November this year.

The fair is expected to serve as a major platform for investment promotion, industrial partnerships, technology transfer, business-to-business engagement, and the attraction of global enterprises into Ghana’s emerging industrial ecosystem.

These engagements continue to strengthen international confidence in the Gomoa Special Economic Zone and reinforce our commitment to building a globally competitive industrial, commercial, and technological hub for the future.
