I hope the month is going on well.

A couple of weeks ago, a company along the Accra Spintex Road, Ghana had fire destroying some of their properties. Upon investigation, we noticed that someone threw a fire extinguisher into the fire trying to put out the fire!!

Yes you read right! The company had invested in procuring extinguishers without any form of education. The fire could have been quenched at the incipient stage when it was very small. Ghana Fire Service had to come in at the end of the day. And you can imagine the cost of the accident.

So in today's class we would learn How to use a fire extinguisher.

It comes with a simple acronym PASS, where

P means Pull the Pin
A means Aim at the base of the fire
S means squeeze the handle of the fire extinguisher
S means sweep from left to right until the fire is out completely.
