No one believed in me...⁣

“You can’t immigrate to a new country and start over!” — my classmates⁣
⁣
“You can’t drop out of college and start your own business!” — my aunts and uncles ⁣
⁣
“You can’t become an entrepreneur without a business degree!” — my college professor⁣
⁣
Yet through it all - I survived. And I thrived. And it reminds me of one of my favourite underdog stories ever…⁣

Takumi, the hero of the story, doesn’t have a supercar or some other fancy sports car...⁣
⁣
He just has a Toyota AE86.⁣
⁣
It’s not powerful, it’s not expensive, and it’s not really a car for racing at all...⁣
⁣
But no one can beat him! And even though they all have better cars - he is still better and he still wins.⁣

And in life, it’s the same.⁣
⁣
Some people will start out with better circumstances than you.⁣
⁣
They may look like they have it all. Or that the odds are all stacked against you.⁣
⁣
But just like I did it. And just like Takumi did it. You can do it too.⁣
⁣
You can prove them all wrong.⁣
⁣
They said to me...⁣
⁣
“You can’t write best-selling books. You’re not an author!”⁣
⁣
“You can’t get registered any business
⁣
“You can’t become a global educator. Who the hell do you think you are?! You don’t even speak English properly!”⁣
⁣
But here I am...⁣
⁣
You see, in life there will always be haters. ⁣
⁣
There’ll always be doubters.⁣
⁣
There’ll always be mockers.⁣
⁣
And there’ll always be people who get in your face. And people who insult you from the sidelines. ⁣
⁣
But that’s okay.⁣
⁣
Let those people say what they want…⁣
⁣
Because you’re going to prove them wrong with your actions.⁣
⁣
And your success will keep growing...⁣
⁣
Until it’s too hard to ignore.⁣
⁣
Then we’ll see.⁣
