HEAD ON COLLISION ON TEMA - AKOSOMBO HIGHWAY LEAVES ONE DRIVER INJURED

A trailer belonging to Timeline & Innovation Company Ltd., bearing registration number AD - 8423-26, was involved in a head on collision with a KIA Rhino, registration number GS - 1709-12, on the Tema–Akosombo Highway at Adela Korpe near Akuse Junction.

The driver of the KIA Rhino sustained injuries in the accident and was rushed to King's and Queens Medical Hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.

An eyewitness narrates how it happened.

Fortunately, all occupants of the trailer escaped the incident unhurt and are safe.

The cause of the accident is yet to be established, and the appropriate authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

MOMO VENDOR K!LLS ARMED ROBBER; RECOVERS STOLEN GHC140,000

A mobile money vendor shot and killed one of two armed robbers who attacked him at Lashibi in the Greater Accra Region, recovering the full GH¢140,000 they had stolen from him during the robbery.

According to Police, the suspects who were riding on a motorbike, allegedly fired at the vendor’s vehicle, damaging the rear tyre and windscreen before snatching the cash.

The police said the vendor returned fire as the suspects attempted to flee, killing one of them at the scene.

The second suspect escaped, abandoning the bag containing the money, which was later recovered intact. The vendor was not injured.

The police said a search conducted on the deceased suspect led to the recovery of an AK 47 rifle, two magazines loaded with 55 rounds of live ammunition, an additional 11 rounds of ammunition, GH¢3,000 in cash, a Samsung mobile phone and an identification card bearing the name Innocent Elemuwa Akachukeu, aged 46.
