The dimming of the Star, our Star, started a while ago. Mediocrity dressed up as hope ... hope for better times which simply were not on the cards! Alas, we were unprepared for success!!
If one sets the bar low enough anything other than a loss is okay and success and greatness though in their minds, is set for qualification into tournaments which should be automatic!
Before I took over at Kotoko I was spoken to about it two years earlier .... but the wait was extended until the wheels had fallen off and Kotoko could not even field 11 players to play Dwarfs leading to the FA docking 6 points from our great and mighty club!
The shambles in Equatorial Guinea was always coming and displays including mysterious penalties, indifferent Qatar displays, and now this!
There is little point in saying we were ... we now have to recognise who we are and face the reality that we are no longer feared nor reocognised as a force!
