SOLDIER LYNCHED AT DANKYIRA BOASE.

A soldier has been killed in the Upper Dankyira West District of the Central Region in Ghana.
The Late Captain Maxwell Mahama was a military officer with the 5th Infantry Battalion (5BN) at Burma Camp in Accra but on detachment duties at Dankyira Boase.

Captain Mahama was the commander of the the area millitary detachment and was seen jogging the main roads and stopped to ask a woman for directions when she saw a pistol on him.

The woman upon the discovery of the pistol on Captain Mahama mistook him for an armed robber thereby alerting the assembly member who allegedly organised some men to lynch and burn him in the process.

Captain Mahama was not in uniform and even pleaded to the mob he was an army officer and not a criminal but his plea was not taken.

The youth of the area have started fleeing the town on realising the deceased was not a criminal as they thought. MORE TO FOLLOW. ...
