: President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has emphasized the need for Ghanaians to dispel the notion that individuals elected into public office are inherently corrupt and that law enforcement and anti-corruption bodies tend to favour the ruling government.

He emphasized that security agencies and other anti-corruption entities, such as the Ghana Police Service (GPS), are dedicated to serving the public’s interests and not the interests of any specific individual or government.

President Akufo-Addo, therefore, urged all to erase the perception that elected officials were corrupt and were in office to steal.

: The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has blamed the high cost of taxation for the recent increase in the cost of dialysis.

The hospital increased the cost of dialysis per session for persons with kidney conditions by over 100%.

However, the Public Relations Officer for the hospital, Mustapha Salifu says the institution's decision to increase the cost of the treatment is influenced by the high cost of taxes.

Moreover, Mr Salifu clarified that the motive behind the increase in the price of the treatment is not to make a profit but rather to support and enable the hospital to provide quality services to its patients.

: Ghana has been added to South Africa’s e-Visa program, enabling Ghanaians to apply for South African visas online rather than visiting the High Commission in person.

Additionally, individuals whose passports were withheld for more than three months due to this change can now collect them at the VFS Global Office, as stated in an official statement from the South African High Commission on September 28.
