Weekly Feature: Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum
Located on the High Street of Accra, the nation's capital, the Kwame Nkrumah mausoleum is a tribute to the first president of Ghana, after whom it is named.
The mausoleum is open to the public (entrance fees apply) and houses the grave of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in the main structure - also known as the Kwame Nkrumah memorial.
This structure is one of the more famous structures in Ghana.

Weekly Feature: Posuban Shrines.
Unique to Ghana's central coastal region, posubans, are elaborate concrete shrines in the urban areas of Fante settlements. These shrines are the work of Asafo companies, the patrilineal military units that are a feature of most Akan societies.
Once responsible for the defense of the town, the posubans are now more ceremonial edifices.
Many posubans originated as storage houses for arms and company regalia. While the actual sites are quite ancient, their present form is probably post-independence.
