We have electricity at the farm!!! A huge milestone for the project!

This may not look like much, but we officially have ELECTRICITY at the farm! This is a huge milestone for our farm and its ability to operate as a sustainable, impact-driving asset. Janet and Eugene have had to source vendors to locate local electrical hookups as well as on-site electricians to connect the house and chicken coop to the larger power grid. In Janet’s update below, you can read about all of the different projects being worked on. Our next milestone will be getting water to the farm - so stay tuned! After years of building towards this dream, we are so thrilled to seeing it get closer and closer to full operation every month - and can't wait to share stories of all the impact it will deliver for local communities, beneficiaries and entrepreneurs! @i_am_the_patriots

We have something to celebrate! The chickens are on track to start laying eggs, in full production, by the end of this month. With Eugene’s careful calculations, we hope to have over 350 eggs daily that we can start selling! This is a very exciting phase of the program - the revenue from selling the eggs will go to grow the program and provide a new income source for the Ghana team. The hard work that Eugene has dedicated himself to is paying off!
