A friend recently asked me:
“ Sister Joy, how do you know who is a real pastor, prophet, or true man of God?”

My response:
I understand—it can feel confusing. But the key is this: you must first understand what the Gospel is all about, and once you know it, it becomes much easier to recognize who is preaching the truth and who is not.

What is the Gospel?
The Bible teaches that human beings fell into sin in the Garden of Eden, and because of that, we all have a sinful nature and are under judgment and destin for H.ell* 🔥
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23
“For the wages of sin is death…” — Romans 6:23

But God, in His love, made a way for us to avoid H...ell, so He sent Jesus to pay the price for our sin.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…” — John 3:16

Jesus Christ came so that whoever (Individula decision) recognizes their sin, repents, and put their trust in Him will be saved—not only from the power of sin in this life, but also from eternal separation from God.
“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart… thou shalt be saved.” — Romans 10:9

When you agree with Jesus, you are now under the Kingship of Jesus and you will need to know and learn about your new King and the ways His kingdom operates.

So how do you recognize a true man or woman of God?
A true servant of God will stay rooted in Scripture (Bible) and teach the full counsel of God, not just what sounds good.

Regardless of what they call themselves, Apostle, Prophet, teacher, evangelist, seer, miracle worker etc.....They will teach:
The holiness of God
“Be ye holy; for I am holy.” — 1 Peter 1:16
Repentance and transformation through the Holy Spirit
“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” — Galatians 5:16
A daily walk with Jesus
“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself…” — Luke 9:23

Contentment and godliness
“But godliness with contentment is great gain.” — 1 Timothy 6:6
Trusting God in all circumstances (whether healing comes or not)
“My grace is sufficient for thee…” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
Eternal perspective, not worldly focus
“For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.” — Hebrews 13:14

The overall message is: come, repent and Jesus will give you power to live as a child of God, because without him, na De**vil we de imitate...all of us!! NOT SOME OF US....ALL OF US!!

👀 warning
Anything that only “sounds good” but avoids truth, correction, and repentance—you are on your own.

If the message centers on Christ, repentance, holiness, and the truth of Scripture—it’s worth listening to.
If it’s all comfort with no truth, all blessings with no call to change, all stories upon stories of juju and demons, & all prayer without a call for you to repent and turn to God—be careful.

BROKEN BATON: WHEN PARENTING FAILS

1 Samuel 2:34 And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them.

This scripture (1 Samuel 2:34) highlights Eli's failure to discipline his sons, Hophni and Phinehas, leading to their tragic end. It serves as a powerful reminder for parents to raise children with godly values and accountability.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

The question is, how are we training our children or kids in this generation before God? Remember parenting comes with rendering accountability to God Almighty! If you fail to raise godly children, you have fail woefully.

Parenting as an act of bringing a child to be responsible, you can't do away with prayers, discipline, caning and advice. The scripture states it clearly in Ephesians 6:1-4 "Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
And, ye , not your to wrath: but bring them up in the and of the Lord"
You see? Provoking isn't the same as rebuking or punishing! Most children born in this century are full of disrespect and disobedience because parents are careless and irresponsible in bringing them up properly!! Parents, God will demand answers from you if you continue like that
