Following a Guernsey Border Agency investigation, a man appeared in the Magistrate’s Court today for breaching self-isolation regulations. He was fined £3,500 and sentenced to four weeks in prison, suspended for two years. Law enforcement will continue to take a proactive approach to identifying breaches and putting them before the court.

Up to 80% of computer fraud incidents are down to poor password hygiene.

Changing your passwords regularly, not using family/pet names or even the word Password and using a password keeper or manager app like LastPass can help reduce fraud.

We recently attended an interesting online seminar on fighting fraud and cybercrime with the DCPCU, a special UK police unit dealing with these crimes, who provided tips on how to get password hygiene right.
