Mapping the way for the future

Digimap Ltd has expanded its management team with the appointment of Nick Whalley as Business Manager. Nick brings extensive experience of project, service and operations management in a wide range of sectors, primarily within the public service. He has managed projects that improved business processes and overseen service delivery of large-scale systems.

Digimap was established in 1998 by Colin Le Conte to promote and sell mapping and data solutions and has developed software solutions and support for Government entities in Guernsey, Bahrain, the UAE, the Cook Islands, Jersey and the Isle of Man.
“We are delighted to welcome Nick to our team,” said Colin. “Nick brings a wealth of experience, and his knowledge of business processes, project management and management duties will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of Digimap as well as assisting Digimap’s Managing Director, Tim Stonebridge, with setting strategy and direction for the future of our business.”

Digimap Announces New Managing Director Appointment

Digimap is pleased to announce the appointment of Glen Kehoe as the new Managing Director of its Jersey office.

Glen succeeds Colin Le Conte, the founder and previous Managing Director, who will continue to serve as Chairman of the Guernsey and Jersey offices.

This strategic leadership transition marks an exciting new chapter for Digimap as the company continues to expand its influence in the Channel Islands and beyond.

Colin Le Conte, who founded Digimap 26 years ago, expressed his confidence in Glen’s leadership: “I am delighted Glen has agreed to be Managing Director of the Jersey office.

Glen’s appointment, together with Group Managing Director Tim Stonebridge, will provide excellent continuity for the work Digimap carries out in the Channel Islands and further afield.”

Colin Le Conte, Digimap's Managing Director, was on the NatWest International Island Games Organising Committee and was IT Director for the whole event.

At last night’s Channel Island Sports awards, the Guernsey’s Island Games Organising Committee was awarded the Judges Award for Achievement.

Colin said, “The Island Games was a massive team effort, and we could not have done it without an amazing Organising Committee with a wide range of skills, experience and expertise, led by Dame Mary Perkins. The support of the 1,200 volunteers and the support and enthusiasm of all the people of Guernsey will make the event most memorable for me”.

The IT role was a massive task, providing the central results service, internet access at all the venues, Microsoft Office licences, live streaming, digital signage and IT support at every venue. Colin wanted to thank Sure International, who was selected as the Island Games Technology Partner.

“Sure delivered everything they promised and used their considerable experience, knowledge and resources to provide a first class service at every venue. They even provided every competitor and official with a 5Gb SIM, so they had connectivity throughout Guernsey”.

Colin wanted to especially thank his team of Matt Polson, Nick Whalley and Tim Stonebridge for their support and project management skills. “The amount of work they put in before the event was key to the success of all aspects of the IT during the event, and I could not have done it with them”.

Digimap was very proud to provide a wide range of services to the NatWest International Island Games.
