Funded by the German Development Bank KFW, the German company Fichtner and the local partner PMCG (International Development Company) are jointly implementing the 4-year project "Integrated Solid Waste Management" Within the framework of the project, it is planned to build landfills
in accordance with European standards in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and Kakheti regions.
The project "Integrated Solid Waste Management" includes the construction of a regional landfill in accordance with European standards, as well as the closure of old landfills in the region.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to arrange waste transfer stations and equip the municipalities with appropriate equipment.
The implementation of the project will contribute to the establishment of a new, modern waste management system in the country, improving housing and environmental conditions.
The construction of landfills will be carried out in 2021-2022
