26/05/2026
On May 30th at 19:00, LICHT GALLERY opens “New Works” an exhibition of the contemporary Georgian artist Tea Ebanoidze. Curated by Alexander Florensky.
Tea Ebanoidze was born in 1975 in the village of Tsebelda (Abkhazia). During the war in Abkhazia in 1993, her family was forced to leave their home and moved to Tbilisi.
Tea drew a lot as a child but never studied painting and is a self-taught artist. In 2019 she started painting as art therapy and worked especially hard during the 2020–2021 pandemic.
Tea names Van Gogh and Pirosmani as the artists who influenced her most. The artist uses gouache and paper in her work.
Tea Ebanoidze lives and works in Tbilisi. Her first exhibition took place at LICHT GALLERY in spring 2024.
All works presented at the exhibition were created in 2026.
The exhibition opens on the 30th of May at 19:00 and will run until the 30th of June.
LICHT GALLERY is open daily from 16:00 to 20:00, except Monday.
