TEMPORARY CLOSURE - MOORSAFE MARINAS
Dear all,
Apologies for the late announcement. As many of you know Prickly Bay was hit rather hard by Hurricane Beryl. Our hearts go out to everyone who was impacted by it.
We at Moorsafe suffered a fair bit of damage to our equipment and infrastructure. Our amazing team has been working really hard since Tuesday to ensure the safety of our customers on moorings and getting our equipment back up and running in order to reopen our commercial diving and marine construction branches.
Unfortunately our fuel lines were damaged during the hurricane and we are working with the fuel company to finalize the damage assessment and carry out the repairs to be able to reopen as soon as possible.
The dinghy dock also suffered severe damage and is unfortunately no longer usable. For now, anyone needing to come ashore, please use the southern side of the main dock. But, please do not leave dinghies over night.
Together with Darren, we are working on reinstating the dinghy dock temporarily while formulating a long term solution for a new one.
NOTE: All other facilities within Prickly Bay Marina are open.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the amazing sailing community in Grenada for jumping into action so quickly. The help given to fellow sailors and their boats as well as coordinating and donating relief supplies to those Grenadians impacted by Beryl has been extraordinary. Thank you for being a part of helping Grenada and the sister islands getting back on their feet!
Good morning cruisers. As some of you may know, it was announced early this morning that today will be a public holiday. This also means that there will be very few busses running, if any. We will extend our regular Saturday fuel and water service hours tomorrow and have the fuel dock operational from 8am to 1pm. Have a great day!
