Message on social media for patients for Saturday Pfizer sessions
There are still some appointments available at tomorrow’s Pfizer vaccination clinic at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre.
This clinic is for people aged 18-39 years old who have not yet had the 1st dose of a vaccine.
The session is on Saturday 29th May 2021 at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre, Llangollen Road, Wrexham, LL14 3HL between 8.30am – 7.30pm.
Please ensure you are not currently self-isolating, symptomatic of COVID or had a positive test in the last 28 days.
This clinic is for patients from the following surgeries: Crane Medical Centre / Hanmer Surgery / Chirk Surgery / Overton Medical Practice / Llangollen Health Centre / Gardden Road Surgery / Ruabon Medical Centre / Beech Avenue practice.
Those patients registered at Caritas Surgery’s Cefn Mawr clinic are also able to attend.
Patients from other practices are asked not to attend as they will NOT be given a vaccination as the GP cluster seeks to manage the vaccine supply across the local area.

“If you are a Ruabon Medical Centre patient, aged 40 years of age or older and wish to have your Covid Oxford Astra Zeneca vaccination and have not received an invitation, please contact Ruabon Medical Centre on either the telephone 01978 823717 or email our enquiries email: [email protected] to ask for an appointment. Please note: All patients aged 40 years or above are only being offered the Oxford Astra Zeneca vaccine. Also, if you had your Covid 1st Dose of Oxford Astra Zeneca vaccination at Ruabon Medical Centre between 8-12 weeks ago and have not received an appointment for your 2nd Dose of Oxford Astra Zeneca, please contact the surgery on the telephone number or email address above to book in to our clinics. We are constantly contacting patients to get you vaccinated as quickly as possible.
If you are aged 18-39 years of age and are a patient of Ruabon Medical Centre and have not received an invitation to attend for your vaccine, please wait to be contacted by the South Wrexham Covid Vaccination Centre at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre as this will be a Pfizer vaccination only for this age group and has to be administered at Plas Madoc by our team of vaccinators. Should you have received an appointment and cannot make the date or time or both of the appointment booked, please contact [email protected] to request your appointment be rearranged or to notify them you do not wish to have your vaccination. Please note that this is Pfizer only. If you wish to be placed on a cancellation/short notice waiting list for your Pfizer vaccination (those aged 18-39 years of age) and have not received your appointment, please contact the vaccination team on [email protected] to request that they contact you at short notice should they have vaccine available at the end of their clinics at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre.
