One of the greatest strengths of the Tackling Poverty Assembly was the diversity of people in the room.

Together they represented a shared commitment to creating a fairer future for communities across North East Wales.

Thank you to everyone who attended, including representatives from Citizens Advice Wrexham, Wrexham Foodbank, AVOW, Refugee Kindness, UareUK, Humanity Project, Together Creating Communities (TCC) and many other organisations whose commitment helped make the day so valuable.

A Powerful Day for Wrexham

More than 70 people came together for the Wrexham Poverty Action Collaboration (WPAC) Tackling Poverty Assembly, creating an inspiring day of listening, discussion and community-led action.

People with lived experience sat alongside community organisations, Members of the Senedd, local leaders and partner organisations to explore one important question:

How do we turn lived experience into meaningful action?

This wasn't simply a conference.

It was an opportunity for people from different backgrounds and organisations to listen to one another, build understanding and begin shaping the next phase of the collaboration.
