Happy New Year all!

I’m noticing a lot of AI images creeping into posters or adverts for gigs. This looks awful. Employ a designer, DIY, give someone some money to do one for you but please stop using AI to make your gig poster.

Some absolute slop out there and 9 out of 10 look exactly the same. A very, very good example is a venue I played in last year (will remain anonymous) used AI to create a poster for the gig. It was quickly rejected. See why below.

This is taking opportunities from people skilled enough to create something exceptional for your event, AI can’t do personality, warmth, passion but a human can.

AI is quick, free and painless but you are hurting your image and credibility to establish any drive you want fans to notice.

Please don’t use AI for art.
