From Michael Kulik.
The military tag on the left is my Grandads, Antoni Kulik - who passed away 1967. The tag on the right, although also marked 'Kulik' is NOT a relative but was in Grandads 'bits & peices' now passed down to me. So what was Grandad doing with it? This has been puzzling me and research brought me to your photo. I'm guessing that their paths either crossed in Italy during WW2 or when they came to England in 1947 - both were in 'medical support roles' given their relatively advanced years during WW2. Ultimately, although I suspect the chances are slim to none, I would love to return Safrons tag to its rightful owners - i.e. any descendants, should any remain in England. Of course Safron may have been unmarried, or indeed left his entire family in Poland (which many did). I'm wondering whether his grave, or any nearby ones, contain any clues, or whether you are able to add anything else to his story. His tag needs to go home...
