The link between Sales, Credit, Debt Teams, as well as the Customer is crucial...
However, a big number of companies don't have end to end lines of communications - i.e.; they are working in SILOS.
Credit Analysts accompanying Account Mangers on Customer visits adds a ton of value - added value to the business and added value to the Customer. "Team Work Makes The Dream Work". π§©
Sales Support, as the title suggests, supports the Sales Teams, but they are often siloed from speaking directly with Credit and Debt Teams, instead using the AM's as go-betweens with customer billing queries, setups, and credit/debt items.
This can, and should, be avoided where possible - Sales Teams should not be caught up with billing and credit queries... Given the Sales Teams more time to account manage and sell adds more value.
From a debt perspective - Debt Teams sometimes need to act fast to mitigate risk, AM's are usually in the field, so how good would it be for direct back and forth communication between Sales Support and Debt Teams to resolve issues or reduce risk??? Very effective right?
SO - Understanding what silos exist in your business is a quick win, coupled with sharing knowledge between departments, the day-to-day tasks and processes are thus improved, and making these simple steps in your business will help generate growth and revenue...
