Could your organisation become more accessible to people with sight loss?

Thanks to funding from Adur & Worthing Councils' Thriving Together Fund, we're delighted to be offering our Visual Impairment Awareness workshops free of charge to organisations across Adur and Worthing.

Delivered by trainers with lived experience, these interactive sessions give staff practical skills and confidence to better support blind and partially sighted people.

Whether you're a business, GP surgery, café, retailer, charity or community group, small changes can make a huge difference.

If you'd like to make your organisation more welcoming and inclusive, we'd love to hear from you. You can find out more here: https://sswcharity.org.uk/could-your-organisation-become-more-accessible-for-people-with-sight-loss/ or contact Jackie on [email protected] / 01903 235 782

As part of her coaching training, our Wellbeing Services Coordinator, Kate, is looking for members who may be interested in taking part in a short series of free coaching sessions.

Coaching is different from counselling. Rather than focusing on the past, coaching is future-focused and action-oriented. It provides a supportive space to explore what matters to you, identify goals, build confidence, and work towards positive change at your own pace.

Sessions will take place in person at the Centre on Mondays.

If you are interested in finding out more or would like an informal conversation about whether coaching might be right for you, please contact Kate: 01903 235782 / [email protected]

This summer we will put on six weeks of an event, similar to the Tai Chi sessions we've previously offered. However, we want to hear from you, our members, to find out which activities these will be. Call or email us if you would be interested in attending yoga, rock climbing or swimming. The most popular one will start soon.
