Always good to do your own research, but interesting nonetheless.
A plant often dismissed as a w**d is gaining attention from scientists for its potential medical benefits. Dandelion roots, long overlooked in medicine, have shown promising effects in laboratory studies. Researchers discovered that extracts from the roots were able to trigger the death of certain cancer cells while leaving healthy cells largely unharmed. In controlled experiments, some types of cancer cells were dramatically reduced within just a few days, highlighting the plant’s potential as a therapeutic tool.
Seasonal allergy symptoms often begin long before pollen counts peak.
After winter, the body may still be holding congestion, sluggish lymphatic flow, and an immune system that’s primed to over-respond.
Rather than suppressing symptoms, early herbal support focuses on modulating histamine, gently opening elimination pathways, and calming inflammatory responses.
These three herbs work together beautifully in late winter and early spring:
Nettle helps regulate histamine response and supports overall immune balance.
Elderflower gently opens the sinuses and supports lymphatic drainage, easing pressure and congestion.
Chamomile calms inflammation and soothes irritated mucous membranes while supporting the nervous system.
Together, they help the body respond to seasonal changes with greater resilience and ease.
🍵 Spring Allergy Support Tea
You’ll need:
1 part nettle
1 part elderflower
½ part chamomile
How to make:
Add 1 tablespoon of the blend to a teapot or heatproof jar.
Pour over hot (not boiling) water.
Cover and infuse for 10–15 minutes.
Strain and sip once or twice daily during early seasonal changes.
This tea is gentle enough for daily use and ideal before symptoms fully develop.
🌿 Tincture option
If tea isn’t practical, a combined tincture of nettle, elderflower, and chamomile can offer convenient daily support.
Taken consistently, it supports immune balance, sinus comfort, and inflammatory calm during seasonal transitions.
Explore these herbs further in our Materia Medica to learn how we work with seasonal allergy support in practice.
When we live in survival, stress, or self-protection, the body stays guarded and tense.
Healing struggles to take root in these states.
The frequency of love — and emotions above it like compassion, gratitude, and presence — signals safety to the nervous system and the body as a whole.
It’s here that the body softens, the breath deepens, and inner repair becomes possible.
This isn’t about forcing positivity or bypassing pain.
It’s about gently returning to a state where the body feels safe enough to heal from within.
