As April approaches, we want to be upfront with you about something that weighs heavily on us—price increases.

Like many independent businesses, we’re facing extreme rises in costs across the board. The increase in minimum wage and national insurance means not only higher wages for our team (which they absolutely deserve), but also higher costs from our suppliers, who are facing the same pressures. Business rates are rising, and gas and electricity water continue to spiral—not just for us, but for everyone in the industry + you guys at home.

Because of this, you will notice price increases across our food and drink. This isn’t about making more profit—it’s simply about keeping the doors open which is becoming more difficult ,paying our team fairly, and ensuring we can continue serving you.

We know times are tough for everyone. If that means you visit less often, which we’ve seen over the last few weeks we completely understand and deeply appreciate your support in any form. Every visit, every drink, every spud—it all makes a difference.

But the time has come to be realistic and say goodbye to The Spud Lab for now, who knows what the future holds ………..
