What’s stopping your students from accessing text in lesson, and what can you do to remove that barrier?
The Department for Education Accessible Resources Pilot Project explored what happens when dyslexic learners are given accessible formats, and the results were clear:
•71% improved their reading and achievement
•68% reported greater reading confidence
There were also marked improvements in homework completion and writing, and 100% of the teachers in the project reported saving time!
So, what could assistive tech unlock in your school?
When students can access texts independently, everything shifts. These outcomes show the real impact of accessible reading, not just for students, but for staff. When learners access the curriculum independently, less time is spent decoding the content and adapting materials. Instead, students engage and progress confidently, while teachers gain back valuable time.
EasyReader Education makes accessible reading material easy to introduce school-wide. It gives SEND students flexible, personalised access to over 1.4 million curriculum-aligned titles to read at school and home. While new AI-powered ‘Explore tools’ support independent learning and revision.
EasyReader Education delivers inclusive reading to improve outcomes, build confidence and support staff workload.
Join us at nasen Live on Friday 3rd July to see EasyReader in action and explore the latest AI-powered features in a live demonstration. If you can't make it to Nasen Live this year, book an online demo and set up your free EasyReader Education trial: https://hubs.la/Q04ln0vV0

Great to see the global accessibility community coming together in Oslo today for the second day of the DAISY Consortium meeting at the National Library of Norway.
The DAISY Consortium plays a key role in improving access to reading for people with print impairments. It brings organisations together to create standards and solutions that make information easier to access and use.
Being part of DAISY is an important part of Dolphin’s commitment to accessible reading. It allows the team to work closely with partners across the sector and help shape the future of inclusive publishing.
It’s been valuable to connect in person, share ideas, and learn from others across the community. Yesterday’s programme featured a strong line-up of speakers, including Richard Orme opening discussions, and Dolphin’s Mattias Karlsson presenting on how MathML in EasyReader can improve access to complex content.
Dolphin colleagues Mattias Karlsson and Anders Frankenberg, alongside CEO James Green, are actively involved throughout the event, contributing to conversations and collaboration.
Events like this show what can be achieved when organisations come together with a shared goal: making reading accessible for everyone.
