💙 It’s ShopMobility Awareness Week and Volunteers’ Week! 💙

This week we’re saying a huge thank you to our amazing volunteers.

Our volunteers help people stay independent, access Worcester city centre, attend appointments, meet friends, go shopping and enjoy days out. Simply put, ShopMobility Worcester couldn’t operate without them.

At the moment we’re facing a shortage of volunteers and have had to close on Wednesdays. If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, even for a few hours a week, we’d love to hear from you.

Thank you to every volunteer, past and present, who has helped make Worcester more accessible for disabled people and those with limited mobility.

We’re sorry to say that, due to a shortage of volunteers, ShopMobility Worcester will currently be closed on Wednesdays.

We remain open:
Monday 10am–4pm
Tuesday–Saturday 9am–4pm
(Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays)

Our small charity helps people stay independent and enjoy Worcester city centre by hiring wheelchairs and mobility scooters at low cost.

If you have a few hours to spare and would like to help local people, we would love to hear from potential volunteers — helping us reopen Wednesdays in future.

Thank you for your continued support 💙

Thanks for your understanding — and we hope you enjoy the long weekend! 😊

Mayor rides mobility scooter through city centre

Photos from Shopmobility Worcester's post 20/04/2026

Not everyone experiences Worcester the same way — but they should.

This week, the Mayor joined us to see firsthand how mobility scooters help people access shops, services and city life independently.

From Broad Street to the shopping centre, it’s a simple thing that makes a huge difference.

We’re proud to help keep Worcester accessible — but we always need more volunteers to keep the service running.

👉 If you’ve got a few hours to spare, we’d love to hear from you.
