Very busy recently with bigger paintings but managed to squeeze in some time for a mini painting! I took some liberty in the shape of the avocado. Was fun 😊

This painting began as a study in texture and color, but it quickly became something more intimate: a quiet metaphor for love. What emerged is not just a painting of a dessert, but a love story. One where beauty and burden coexist, where imperfection is not hidden but honored, and where balance is never guaranteed but always worth striving for.

The strawberry, vibrant and ripe, represents passion in its boldest form. It rests atop a cracked macaron that is delicate, imperfect, and quietly resilient. The fracture is not a flaw. It’s honesty. It speaks to the vulnerability we carry when we let someone close in the name of love.

Love is rarely neat. It’s layered, messy, and tender. The tension between strength and fragility is the heart of this piece. And if it evokes something in you like longing, joy, or quiet reflection, then it has done what love does best. It has made you pause, feel and remember.
