Amy joins the drone team as our newest Drone Pilot. Amy will undergo external training to gain her 'GVC' (Pilots license), which will involve theoretical training and exam, followed by a practical flight assessment.

Amy will use software kindly donated from dronedeskapp in her flight planning saving time and enabling faster deployment.

We wish her all the best on her journey.

Today we were joined by Lt Col Sam Hibbs, Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey. Sam takes an active interest in crisis management and disaster response and it was a pleasure to talk to him about the work of Surrey Search & Rescue and our fundraising efforts for a new Incident Command Unit (ICU)
